"Justin joins the company. He and I get on a meeting. He asks me what I do. I tell him. We connect so easily. And the next thing I know I have more responsibilities. And 100% trust from him. And this, my friends, is how people start learning, growing, and multiplying."

As I started sharing my view of what could only be termed a bleak future, Justin stopped me dead in my tracks and changed my line of thought. He explained how when I went into the future to troubleshoot I would do so thoroughly and return to the present with emotions attached to a doomed future. I would then unwittingly work to fulfill this outcome and in so doing self-sabotage. “Treat each trip into the future as a purely logical exercise and start thinking about how things could go right." That was the single most important piece of advice I’ve received to date and it changed the way I see the world.

"Justin’s energy is contagious and his intelligence infectious. He is smart (no doubt about that) but he made all the people around him (us) look equally smart and intelligent. That’s because he has been very deliberate about pointing out our inner genius. During our sessions, he helps me reflect on my work and some of the things I do. I tend to think these things are basic and things everyone can do. But he was like NO, this is a superpower you have and not everyone does it as well as you. That boosted my confidence to go after huge things since then."

The reason why I always looked forward to my meetings with Justin is that I have a voice during such meetings. He is always patient and attentive to every detail and any information that I want to share. He always asks about my opinion when he makes any suggestions or objections to a project I'm working on. He always wants to know what my thoughts were on a particular topic and encourages me to think deeply and always find the best solution.

He creates the environment and intensity that challenge your thinking and get the best out of you. He creates an environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and opportunities. This has allowed me to go out of my way (comfort zone) and do things that I never thought I could do. Under his leadership in less than a year, I have gained more confidence and skills than I did in my 8 years of work experience.

If anyone thought I was great at my role, it is because Justin did not allow me to stay in my comfort zone and keep doing the things that I was already good at. He kept pushing me to go beyond my regular task by being innovative and creative. He usually would say ‘’I know this is new for your work stream but I know you can do it. You have all the support you need to ace this.”
